About Us:

Meet Audra

Hi! I’m Audra. A beach lover who cherishes tiny moments and big moments all the same. I’m happiest with sandy feet and salty hair and spend my free time with my 4 beautiful children or getting in a good workout. Originally from Pittsburgh, I have called the Outer Banks home for the last 14 years and still pinch myself that I get to watch the sea oats bloom every summer and dolphins play in the ocean on a daily basis. I studied photojournalism at WVU and documented the news for years but found that I’m happiest documenting family moments here on the Outer Banks through family photography.

Meet Katie

Hi there! I’m Katie! I grew up spending my summers in Duck and winters in Richmond.  After I went to JMU to study photography, I came back to the beach and married the boy in the beach house next door. There was never any doubt that we would make the beach our forever home. We are blessed to have 3 beautiful children who remind us of our own Outer Banks childhood memories like walking to the beach, playing in the waves and searching for coquinas with my daughter who is my absolute mini! Family is so important to me and I feel so fortunate to have made a career out of capturing the love that other families share.

Together, we're a best friend duo and business partners and while we can't claim each other as true sisters, we're known as "Auntie" to each other's children and that's something that neither of us take for granted.

Motherhood is so important to us that over the last 14 years we have alternated "baby years" so that one of us could take care of our business while the other took a true maternity leave...with the exception of the littlest two who we had just weeks apart and started Kindergarten together last Fall.

We both love a good margarita at "The Salty Rim" here in Corolla and a good local boutique. We have had some of our best heart to hearts on roadtrips to photograph weddings in countless cities.

We think we are easily the funniest people that we know, laugh until it hurts and have found the most loyal friend in one another. We're obsessed with feel good moments, practicing gratitude and swimming in the ocean. In fact, we often jump in the ocean for a swim after a photo session before heading home.

As loyal as we are to each other, we are to everyone in our lives. Our clients often become so near and dear to our hearts and we look forward to their annual sessions not just as photographers but as friends! In the past we have had clients reach out and offer us their spare bedrooms when a hurricane was heading towards the Outer Banks (we love you, Maltby family!) and we've had the privilege of shooting our former interns wedding in Pennsylvania. We're not just in the business of taking photos, we're in the business of loving people and their stories. We can't wait to hear yours.

Our Mission

As moms, we appreciate the need to capture family portraits and showcase the love, joy and fun that a family shares. It's important to us to capture real smiles by creating a fun atmosphere that sometimes verges on goofy.

The attitude that we bring helps create photos that are not only beautiful, but also full of fun and joy.  One of our first goals is to help our clients feel comfortable during their session. We pride ourselves in making everyone feel comfortable from the wiggly toddler to the Great-grandmother, we're experienced with it all.

We know that we become a part of our clients' lives and have an opportunity to be someone who brings them lasting memories.  Many of our customers come back to us every year.  We feel so blessed to be able to watch these families grow and change over the years.

Providing this service to our client's families is something we are deeply passionate about and we hope it shows!
