You'll be surprised how much we can get done in a 30 minute session!
Many of our customers ask us if they should book 30 minutes or an hour for their Corolla beach portraits. Honestly, most of the time, 30 minutes is perfect!
If a group has less than 20 people there is a lot we can get done in that (seemingly) short amount of time. Take this family's session for example...
I photographed this lovely family at our favorite Corolla beach access this past summer. Audra and I love this spot. There are so many beautiful backgrounds and we know that the beach will be big enough; no matter the tide.
I started out by asking them how everyone was related and what they wanted to make sure to get in. They had 4 grown-up children who have families of their own; including three grandchildren. What a blessed family!
We started with a shot of one family, then built up for the whole group, took a photo of the grandparents with their grandchildren, took a photo of each family, all the cousins together, and more.
We even had time to get auntie with her nieces (above). Some families want to have individuals of their kids taken, or sibling photos. Whatever you want captured during your session, we are more than happy to take.
This trip was very special for the grandparents so we did some shots of them together. I love how you can tell in these photos how important this time is for them.
Even looking at them right now it makes me so happy that I could do this for them!

Update: 2023 will be our 12th season in business! We cannot believe how blessed we are. Many of the families we see every year have become friends. They mean the world to us and to witness children grow and families change every year is a true honor (talking to you "Big Tuna"!). As the years go by we have more inside jokes and look back at fun memories together. We love hearing about the photos on your wall that we took. AND we love hearing about all your children's accomplishments. You are a part of our family!
