We love being based in Corolla! The beaches are so beautiful with their built-up dunes. Most of the beach accesses have longer beaches than other towns in the northern Outer Banks. This feature helps to make high tide less stressful for portraits with larger groups.
Our favorite spot to shoot is on Shad Street in Corolla. Outdoor portraiture can be challenging with all the variables that can come to play; wind direction, sun position, high tide/ low tide, and more. We know Shad Street so well that we have found a spot there that makes the most out of any condition mother nature throws our way. In fact, we have been photographing there for 10 years!
